There are various different wagons used by Crotoonian Mail Co. to transport mail on Crotoonia.

Tillie's Mail Train[]

Tillie owns five multicolored wagons which are pulled along the main line. She earned them as a reward for saving The Fairytale Arrow from being delayed in Tillie to the Rescue.

Liveries[]

The first two open wagons and the second van have their side walls painted purple while those of the first van and the last open wagon are painted red. The vans, alone, have their roofs painted light blue. Overall, all of the cars have yellow lining, their front and back walls painted green and their wheelbases painted dark blue.

Johnny's Mail Coaches[]


There are several mail coaches that Johnny pulls during his mail runs on the main line.

Livery[]

The coaches are painted orange-tan with green lining under the roofs of each coach.

Chugs' Mail Wagons[]


Chugs owns several open mail wagons which, like their engine, are seen on the Crotoonian Hills Narrow Gauge Railway.

Livery[]

The wagons are painted orange with red lined nameplates with 'MAIL' written on them.

Trivia[]

  • In the film they came from with Chugs, 'The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town', they were originally depicted as open-topped coaches.
  • They are the only known mail wagons in the series that are narrow gauge rather than standard gauge like most wagons.

Sodor Mail Vans[]


Sodor Mail Vans are rolling stock from The Island of Sodor used for transporting letters and parcels throughout the railway. These vans are utility vans that form the Mail Train, which is usually pulled by either Thomas or Percy.

Basis[]

Sodor Mail Vans are based on the South Eastern & Chatham Railway Diagram 960 Parcels and Miscellaneous Vans (PMV), introduced in 1919. This van was designated the standard for the Southern Railway, and remained in production, updated as the Diagram 3103, until 1951, remaining in regular service until 1986, with a few surviving on departmental duties into the 1990s. These vans were used primarily for the transportation of letters and parcels. The utility vans share the same basis.

Livery[]

Sodor Mail Vans were painted crimson, black roofs and had "SODOR MAIL" on both sides.

The Greendale Rocket's Mail Trucks[]


The Greendale Rocket has her own mail trucks, she pulls it during her mail runs to her halt.

Livery[]

The mail trucks are painted red with black roof, green wheels, and had "Fantasyland Mail" on both sides are painted yellow.

Trivia[]

  • In Postman Pat, the mail trucks was originally called "Royal ER Mail" instead of "Fantasyland Mail".
